Film and video production has been a large part of my life, though I didn’t really discover it as an art form until college. After producing and directing a 45 minute documentary film as my thesis project, I took a job in the video production department at Ducks Unlimited, Inc., where I learned to produce everything from PSAs to fundraising campaign videos. After three years, I was eager to learn more, so I left DU to attend film school at the University of Southern California. It was there that I honed my craft and learned as much as I could about how the industry works. A year after earning my MFA, I founded my own production company, Beartooth Productions, named after the picturesque mountains in southern Montana. I produced, directed, and edited several spec commercials, music videos, and a wide variety of other videos, including some short fictional narratives. My first large-scale project was producing and directing a 10-episode competitive reality TV show, “Nock Out,” which aired on the NBC Sports Network in the summer of 2013. I soon turned my attention to documentary filmmaking, producing a short documentary entitled “Il Villaggio di Millbrook,” and a feature-length documentary, which took 7 years to complete, “Kingdom of Archers.” I am currently working on two feature-length screenplays and am developing a second feature-length documentary.
